Solving Britain’s housing supply problem isn’t impossible, but it does demand a change in policy, and a change in politics. The most successful and allegedly 'free market’ economies are all underpinned by major public housing provision. Why not here?
This morning, I talked to SDP leader William Clouston about how to get onboard with this - what to do, and how to fund it. He’s a thoughtful man, and the measures he proposes are well thought-out and possible. There are opportunities for the next generation, if we are only prepared to grasp them.
I hope you find it interesting, enjoy it, and hang on in there in the expectation that I’ll get more professional at it.
